As a New Year’s Resolution in 2007, our family decided it was time to move from our home of 14+ years, 2 going on 3 children, and many memories. Not only would this entail selling our current home, but also looking for a new home that would meet our many needs (teenager needs her own room, two boys need a lot of active outdoor space, home has to be an older classic Portland house in a quiet neighborhood within walking distance to everything …..). Luckily, Kathryn was able to guide us through this complicated journey, resulting in the successful sale of our home for a competitive price in an amazing timeframe (only 11 days on the market!), and the discovery and purchase of an incredibly perfect home that we can grow into.

Kathryn’s skill in this field enabled her to (1) coach us through what kind of house we were looking for and expose us to potential homes on the market, (2) connect us with potential financers, (3) prepare our home for the “buyer’s” market, (4) market and sell our home quickly, and (5) work with us closely to find our new home without compensating for something that was “close but not quite what we are after”. Throughout the entire process, Kathryn was sincerely our advocate, representing us when needed and empowering us to look at our choices and decide on the best option.

After just over a year of working very closely with Kathryn, we accomplished the many tasks associated with selling one home and buying another. Simply put, it would have been absolutely impossible to accomplish these tasks without Kathryn’s guidance, support and perseverance.
