We worked with Kathryn for both the sale of our home and the purchase of a new one. We were blown away during both transactions on the amount of work she did and the results.
For the sale of our small house in Rose City, Kathryn set up a home inspection to uncover any hinderences to a sale, then lined up contractors and a home stager to get all the work done. During that process, Kathryn met with workers, followed up on any problems, purchased a light fixture for the kitchen, physically helped with the staging and even watered our plants one hot summer day. She also brought in fabulous new linens for the beds and decorative items to supplement the ones we used. Our house never looked more beautiful. It sold for full price within a week of putting it on the market and had everything done and the new owners moved in within a month.
In finding our new home, Kathryn had the patience of a saint. She had a site set up with our parameters that every day had new places for us to check out online. We went out several times and toured many, many homes before we found the perfect one for us. She didn’t even complain that it wasn’t in the area we’d told her we wanted to live in, did not have the updated kitchen we’d said was a priority and was a fixer, which we’d told her we definitely did not want. Instead she found all the things in that house that she knew we would love. She lined up a home inspector and other preliminary work we needed done and helped us get lined up for the pre‐approval process for getting the loan.
In both the selling and the buying, she negotiated fiercely for us — we asked her to offer $40,000 below the asking price on the house we wanted to buy, and she did that, using that to get us a price $30,000 below the asking price and closing within a month of the initial offer. Through all of this, she was ever cheerful, glamorous and great fun to be with. The friend who recommended Kathryn to us got a huge bouquet of flowers as part of our thanks for that referral. We could not have been happier with everything about what we had thought would be a very stressful process.
We love our new home in St. Johns and think thankful thoughts that we had her help in getting the best for us on every turn. We know that we could never have done it without her.
